I'm Roma.
I have spent decades as a charismatic, Pentecostal minister. I love prophetic worship, the gifts, Spirit-led prayer...all of it!
But a few years ago, I started slowing down, and something unexpected happened.
I didn't lose the fire. I found its roots.
When I began sitting with ancient prayer practices - really sitting, not just studying them - I found that they didn't cool my charismatic faith. They gave it a depth I hadn't known was possible.
I'm Roma. I've been in ministry for more than thirty-five years - I am a minister, worship leader, writer, spiritual formation guide, and someone who attends and is involved in my own local Pentecostal church every week.
I hold a Graduate Diploma of Theology and I'm finishing a Masters of Spirituality.
My job here is simple: to walk with you as you discover that you never had to choose. There IS more. And it is found where stillness and fire intersect.

FAQs
DO I HAVE TO BE A CHARISTMATIC/PENTECOSTAL TO JOIN?
No. You need to be open to the Spirit and to studying Scripture deeply. Whether your background is Pentecostal, Anglican, Catholic, Reformed, or anywhere in between, if you are hungry for both Word and Spirit, you belong here.
HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE EACH WEEK?
That is up to you. Some members spend ten minutes a day with Thirst and join one Bible study a week. Others go much deeper. The community meets you where your life is.
IS THIS JUST FOR WOMEN?
No. Although we have a lot of women join, Wisdom at the Well is for all Christians who are hungry for Word and Spirit together. Men and women are equally welcome!
WILL THE CONTEMPLATIVE PRACTICES COMPROMISE MY CHARISMATIC FAITH?
No - and this is the question I am asked most often. The practices taught here: Lectio Divina, the Examen, contemplative prayer are introduced within the framework of Scripture and Spirit-led faith. They are not drawn from New Age or Eastern traditions, but from our early church traditions and have been used by the church for hundreds of years. Many of our members have found that they intensify rather than diminish their sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. You will not be asked to empty your mind or lay aside anything you hold dear.
DO I HAVE TO ATTEND THE WEEKLY LIVE SESSIONS?
No. Everything live is recorded and added after the call. Many members are in different time zones and engage primarily with the library and the community feed.
WHAT DENOMINATION IS THIS?
Wisdom at the Well is not tied to any denomination. Members come from Pentecostal, Anglican, Catholic, Reformed, Baptist, and many other streams. What we share is a love for the Spirit and a hunger for the Word. Roma personally attends a local pentecostal church.
CAN I CANCEL ANYTIME?
Yes, any time, but we hope you choose to stay! Month to month, or year to year if you choose annual. Stay as long as it serves you. There are no refunds though.
